Joe Johnson shook off a poor night to hit a crucial 3-pointer with 1:07 remaining and the Atlanta Hawks forced an improbable Game 7 with Boston, beating the top-seeded Celtics 103-100 on Friday night.
Marvin Williams led the Hawks with 18 points despite missing most of the fourth quarter with a knee injury. Kevin Garnett paced the Celtics with 22 points and Ray Allen added 20.
