Council Abkhazia refugees
Dear friends and compatriots, refugees from our beloved Motherland – Abkhazia!
A 15th anniversary of tragic days, that forced us to leave behind our homes and made us scatter around the world or face annihilation, is near. Our beloved Abkhazia has been overtaken by Moscow-trained marauding cutthroats that are hiding behind empty slogans of independence, democracy and right to self-government.
The trick of all the international thugs is being used yet again – the thieves always yell “Catch the thief!” the loudest.
Every objective person, however, can clearly see who stole who’s land, homes, life, and future.
The scumbags that dare to use the word “genocide” are the same monsters that burned helpless children, elderly, and pregnant women alive, and played soccer with heads of executed men. They did it hand in hand with infamous international terrorists like Shamil Basayev, who became a “hero” of Criminal Abkhazian regime, and with help of Russian secret service agents.
During the Abkhazian war, Russia was warned, that supporting these “heroes” will bring devastating results to Russia itself. Those who plant the wind will harvest the storm. That is exactly what happened. The bloody experience of Abkhazia was repeated in Budennovsk, Beslan, Dubrovka, Nalchik, Nazran, and other places…
Meanwhile, we, an overwhelming majority of former population of Abkhazia (80%), are denied the right to visit our homes and the graves of our ancestors. Criminals form quasi-parliaments and hold referendums on independence (while denying us an opportunity to participate, or live on our land). How long will this cynical tragedy go on?
Apparently, for as long as these cutthroats have an unyielding support of Imperial Russia, that is sinking deeper and deeper into the swamp of amoral and cynical “real-politic” dealings with one group of criminals to control and suppress another. The international community at large is slow to learn the lessons of history – Munich-like appeasement of yet another aggressor will only lead to more bloodshed.
We, Abkhazian refugees, have a good memory. We remember every name of our brothers and sisters that were tortured to death. And we will not forget the names of their executioners. The addresses of our homes are not going to fade in our memory. Every road has an end. It is impossible to fool the people of the world indefinitely, saying that black is white. Besides the court of human conscience, there are International Tribunals. And we have plenty of evidence that can not be contradicted, because it is true.
It is time these criminals are brought to justice for the world to see! World public opinion and legal institutions must take a stand! And then, the Big Lie of our torturers is going to be exposed for what it is!
We demand the return of our land, our homes and property, and we will hold responsible not only the actual murderers, thieves, marauders, and dealers of stolen property, but also their Moscow-based protectors and curators.
It is time we rid ourselves from self-pitying, and make our voices heard by all the people of good will, and their governments!
Our land and our homes are waiting for us!
And we will return!
