Statement of Georgian State Minister’s Office on conflict resolution issues on blocking by the Tskhinvali regime of irrigating water supply to the villages of the region.
A few days ago Kokoity regime made sensational statement on restoration of irrigating water supply to the Georgian villages of Tskhinvali region. Unfortunately above-mentioned statements are only partially consistent with the reality.

In particular, Tskhinvali Regime is still blocking artificially the supply of irrigating water to the Georgian villages of the region and continues the "political” manipulations around this issue. The Saltvisi channel, which was opened a few days ago, has several branches in Tskhinvali, which need to be cleansed immediately. Kokoity regime located armed groups in Tskhinvali and village Gujabauri, who don’t allow Georgian specialists to carry out cleansing works. As a result the villages Upper and Lower Nikozi, Upper and Lower Khviti, Shindisi and Pkhvenisi are not supplied by the water.

The inactivity of the JPKF commander General Marat Kulakhmetov is remarkable, confining him to high-flown political statements instead of contributing to solution of vitally important problem of water supply to the region’s population.
