Officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia detained five people of Abkhaz origin at the Psou River, de facto Abkhaz-Russian border line. The detainees were trying to smuggle anti-aircraft missile complexes into Russia. The missiles were hidden in a truck loaded with tea. According to 'Forum' newspaper, the detainees purchased the missiles at the military base of Russian peacekeepers in Gudauta in the breakaway Abkhazia. The Russian officials reject the similar claims. Reports also say that Abkhaz smugglers were going to sell missiles to Chechen military groups.
