Korea Republic forward Lee Chun-Soo has signed a four-year deal with Dutch club Feyenoord.
Lee will fly to the Netherlands on Friday afternoon to complete the 2 million euros ($2.7 million) deal, his Korean side Ulsan said in a statement.
Lee had been linked with a move to England's Premier League throughout the close season but a deal never materialised.
"We have come to the decision to let Lee Chun-Soo move to Feyenoord for 2 million euros on a four-year contract," Ulsan said in the statement.
"We have had these discussions for several months but the reason we hadn't been able to work out a deal was because Feyenoord had wanted a loan deal while Lee wanted a move."
Lee had an unsuccessful stint in Spain after the 2002 FIFA World Cup but has been in red-hot form since his return to Korea. He won the K-League's MVP award in 2005 and was one of the few bright spots in the Koreans' 2006 FIFA World Cup campaign. |
