Oksana KalashnikovaThe top seeds kept rolling in the junior singles third round today, with girls' No. 1 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, No. 2 Urszula Radwanska and boys' No. 1 Uladzimir Ignatik all advancing to the quarterfinals.
Ignatik, from Belarus, had the easiest time, winning the first set and then the match when Peerakiat Siriluethaiwattana retired at 6-3, 3-0. In the quarterfinals, Ignatik will play No. 11 Thomas Fabbiano of Italy, who was a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 winner over Andrew Thomas of Cyprus. Ignatik and Roman Jebavy, the No. 1 doubles seeds, also advanced to the semifinals.

Pavlyuchenkova advanced with a dominating 6-2, 6-0 win over No. 16 Katarzyna Piter of Poland. In the quarterfinals, Pavlyuchenkova will face Kristina Kucova of Slovakia, who upset No. 12 Julia Glushko of Israel, 6-3, 6-0.

Radwanska, the world No. 1 junior, defeated Valeria Pulido Velasco of Mexico, 6-0, 6-3, and her next opponent will be No. 8 American Lauren Albanese, who defeated No. 10 Ksenia Lykina 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Radwanska and Ksenia Milveskaya, the No. 2 doubles seeds, won to reach the semifinals.

Three of the four remaining Americans were eliminated in the girls’ third round today, with Coco Vandeweghe, Kimberly Couts and Ashley Weinhold all losing. Albanese is the lone American left in the girls’ singles draw.

Sacha Jones will face Oksana Kalashnikova in the quarterfinals and No. 7 Milevskaya plays Jessica Moore.

All remaining Americans were eliminated from the boys’ singles draw today as No. 9 Rhyne Williams lost in three sets to No. 5 Greg Jones of Australia, Dennis Nevolo lost in three sets to No. 8 Jebavy of the Czech Republic, and Ryan Thacher lost to Daniel Evans of Great Britain. Jebavy plays No. 15 Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania in the quarterfinals. Jones plays Jerzy Janowicz of Poland next.

Boys’ No. 3 seed Matteo Trevisan of Italy advanced in straight sets over Aljaz Bedene of Slovenia and will next play Evans in the quarters.

In girls’ doubles, the No. 3 pair of Kalashnikova and Lykina advanced in three sets to the semifinals, while unseeded Americans Kristy Frilling and Asia Muhammed upset No. 4 seeds Lenka Jurikova and Piter in three sets. Misaki Doi and Kurumi Nara also won to reach the semis.

Also, in the boys’ doubles semifinals are No. 2 seeds Jones and Stephen Donald and No. 4 seeds Trevisan and Daniel-Alejandr Lopez.
